Chapters and Their Voices

DeeTown Horrors is a unique blend of styles and short stories. FIFTEEN stories capture key turning point moments in the lives of the characters. The connections being built among these characters over the span of four generations in DeeTown. How they impact, connect, and change each other's lives during the most horrific moments.

The Fifteen Stories;

Book One; Asylum Rougarou……………………… A Story told from Abby's perspective. A young woman who doesn't know or understand her psychic abilities combined with the mental illness of anxiety and depression- the ways she has been taught to doubt herself, doubt her reality, and doubt that there could ever be a happy ending for her. Her traumatic stay in a mental institution has more connection than she could ever truly know.

Book Two; Childbirth………………………………A story told from the perspective of Henry, a man with only a slight psychic perception. Unaware that that there is very real very intense danger lurking in the hospital as his wife delivers their baby. Are the spirits there to warn him? Guide him? Will they make it out alive? Henry the alcoholic with a loving heart- what is his fate? The fate of his family?

Book Three; By the River………………………….. Jackie the Psychic Detective is up against an entity that kidnaps little children, consuming their life force. Set in the seventies- she is up against both the skepticism of others as well as the limitation of information. Who is the demon and how can it be stopped? Will her Detective friend and mentor help her til the end? Will any children be saved? Confident in herself and her psychic abilities, she has a unique connection to the spirits of DeeTown.

Book Four; Can Werewolves Swim………………... Vanessa a happy teenager gets the dream date with Kent- the most handsome boy in school. What could go wrong? A night of stargazing, under a full moon, sounds perfect right? Will her background in hunting and camping with her mysterious grandfather help her survive or will she perish under the teeth of a werewolf?

Book Five; Conversations………………………….. George and Jacob have been friends, and hunters for a long time. Their unique hidden world is dying- old age is catching up. Does the team have enough left in them for a last big case? Missing children, monsters, and secret meetings help build the hidden history of DeeTown. A place that sits on the edge of the monstrous unknown. Only a few know the dangers and know how to fight.

Book Six; Beach Day………………………………. Monique loves her family, and a caring helping hand with her niece and nephew. A fun day at DeeTown Lake- nothing can go wrong, right? The sun shines and the water sparkles. Everyone is laughing. Except for that old Jack the Quack who keeps warning everyone of the monster in the lake that drowns men. Other than that- what a perfect hot day for family time. Monique will encounter something unknown- will it draw her in or can she fight the allure of the siren magic?

Book Seven; Wolf in the Corn……………………... A farmer's son is punished to the cornfield- to do some picking. The twelve-year-old boy has a terrifying encounter- the stinky hairy beast stalks him with the intent to kill. Can his family save him? Where has his Mom gone? Grandpa is screaming for him- he must escape the corn to survive. Will he walk away unscathed or will it be life-altering?

Book Eight; Seance………………………………… Abby returns! Her time in the asylum has left her haunted and broken. She wants to make friends and live her life though. What happens when they decide to pull out an Ouija Board and hold a seance? What spirits come knocking? What's the deal with her co-worker that fetishists the dark and unknown? Something is in the woods outside, stalking the building, waiting for its turn at mischief. Does Abby make friends, or meet new Horrors?

Book Nine; Date Night…………………………….. Young Hailey fell so hard and fast for her boyfriend, not realizing just how many red flags there were. Date night in the woods suddenly seems like a bad idea. Hailey just wants to go home- only who is the bigger monster? The man that she thought she loved or the Creature in the woods?

Book Ten; Thunder………………………………… Eddie an ex-police force ex-army tough man is helping his old pal solve the most unusual case. A fisherman- kidnapped by a giant bird. Not only that but there is a witness that won't budge on the giant bird. How can he solve something like that? Eddie is rooted in the tangible, and when a second man is taken- he knows there must be answers somewhere. Set in the fifties this blast from a past explored DeeTowns unusual history.

Book Eleven; Chance in a Library………………… Jackie much older and experienced has been visiting her favorite place, the library. Shocked to meet a young woman named Abby, she feels the presence of a spirit- as well as the palpable psychic energy of Abby. This chance meeting connects these women in ways they aren't even aware of yet. Where can this lead? Who is haunting Abby? Has Jackie finally found a living person she can be close with?

Book Twelve; Tunnels…………………………….. Demetri has instant regret at the cemetery. The plan to ghost hunt at night in Greenwood Tunnels seems like a recipe for trouble. The two girls with him are noobs and overly enthusiastic with little concern. What could go wrong? Is the stench of the tunnels monsters, a warning sign? Who is whispering and what message are they trying to send to Demetri? A horrible night awaits...

Book Thirteen; Werewolf Returns………………… Kent comes home for his aunt's funeral. Having not missed a day in DeeTown, the forest ranger has no idea of the mystery that lies ahead of him. Encountering an unusual young woman named Abby- he sees the immediate danger she could be in. He can't help but notice some odd resemblance... Abby needs help, bodies are piling up, and there is something on the loose with a hunger for the kill. Can he intervene and finally redeem himself? Kent surprises himself with his decisions.

Book Fourteen; Finding Abby…………………….. Lindsey, a waitress who had the shock of her life at the Seance, is now looking for Abby. Her co-worker and friend. Abby has mysteriously vanished amidst an active murder investigation. Lindsey who used to be a golden star of high school is now trying to find her place in life, unaware of just how much lurks in the dark, the surprising team-up with new faces leads her to make terrifying discoveries.

Book Fifteen; Hellhound………………………….. Abby awakes in a cabin, injured, scared, and unsure of how to escape. This final story of DeeTown Vol. 1 will tie together storylines, unveil terrifying truths, and be a fight for survival. Monsters unleashed, killers on the loose, and friends banding together- everyone is fighting for something. Who will come out the other side?
